Ms. Anina Chileva<\/strong> is the PETRI Executive, Chief Expert at the National Center of Public Health and Analyses. Ms. Chileva has extensive experience in working with young people, organizing trainings on local, national and international level, in research in different fields, including sexual and reproductive health and rights. As a PETRI Executive, she coordinates the implementation of the Strategic Plan of PETRI-Sofia, as well as the annual work plans of the Institute that are agreed upon with the United Nations Population Fund Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She also coordinated the process of the establishment of the Foundation and is its founder, as well as Chairperson of the Governing Board. Since 2003 Ms. Chileva has been a long-term consultant for the 7th Component \u201cPrevention of HIV among Young People in and outside of School\u201d of the Program for Prevention and Control of HIV\/AIDS, implemented by the Ministry of Health and financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Since 1993 she is a National Coordinator for Bulgaria for the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD). She has many scientific publications in the field of health education and promotion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ms. Yuliya Andzhekarska<\/strong> – International Relations graduate, with extensive experience in the coordination and implementation of international projects in the civil society field. Since 2009 she has been project coordinator at Association \u201cProfessional Forum for Education\u201d and since 2015 \u2013 Youth Coordinator at PETRI-Sofia. Since the establishment of IFYD, she has been involved in its activities as a Project Coordinator, and was recently elected for the position of Executive Director of the Foundation. Ms. Andzhekarska has experience in project development and management, as well as in the development of educational methodologies, guidelines for youth workers and pedagogues and strategic documents, such as the national standards for youth services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mr. Anmar Khalid<\/strong> – a human rights activist and youth advocate from Iraq and based in Sofia, Bulgaria, since 2017, former International Coordinator IN Charge of the Y-PEER Network and current Projects Coordinator of the International Foundation for YPEER Development. He has more than 10 years of experience in youth engagement and leadership in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), peacebuilding, gender equality and gender-based violence prevention. On the national level, he is the Co-founder of Y-PEER Iraq, a youth network that focuses on empowering young people to make informed decisions regarding their health and life. Mr. Khalid is a member of the international panel of young and expert judges of the first Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge by UNICEF. He also worked as a youth coordinator in an outreach program in humanitarian settings at UNFPA Iraq. Mr. Khalid also has experience in the development of educational and training methodologies and guidelines in the frame of international projects in the field of youth.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Y-PEER is an international network of young people and organizations working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender Equality, Gender-Based Violence, Meaningful Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Global Peace Building since 2000, through inclusive and interactive peer education approach, working in around 50 countries throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, North Africa and the Asia-Pacific. Y-PEER has built a niche of creating youth-led advocacy mechanisms at the local, national and international levels. Our programme interventions train and mentor young people as youth leaders and peer educators and build their capacity in the areas of: Intercultural Dialogue, Advocacy for SDGs Implementation, Comprehensive Sexuality Education, Global Peace Building and Life Skills Education to adolescents and young people in school and out-of-school contexts, ensuring that adolescents and youth from low-resource and marginalized backgrounds across the Arab States region, Asia-Pacific, Central Asia and Eastern Europe are reached.<\/p>

Since its establishment in 2000, the Y-PEER international network has been actively involved in the development of different educational methodologies, toolkits, guidelines and standards focusing on the peer education approach and advocacy, on topics related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV\/AIDS prevention, Gender Equality, Peace Building and Meaningful Adolescent and Youth Engagement.<\/p>

The International Foundation for Y-PEER Development (IFYD) was created on 14.12.2016 to support the global Y-PEER youth network. IFYD is based on the experience of the professionals and volunteers at the International Institute for Youth Development PETRI-Sofia (www.petri-sofia.org), which has more than 13 years of experience working with young people on topics related to the objectives and priorities related to youth development and providing support for the Y-PEER Network. The Institute, set up in 2007 as a joint project of the National Center of Public Health and Analyses, the Y-PEER and UNFPA, aims to contribute to the empowerment of young people by focusing on their sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, advocacy and peace. The main objective of the Institute and the Foundation is to develop and implement effective and sustainable youth policies in these areas at regional and global level.<\/p>

IFYD links institutions, non-governmental organizations and young people by developing innovative and inclusive training programs, creating platforms for networking and collaboration, working in the field of research and analysis related to sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people. The team of the Foundation has successfully implemented several international projects for advocacy and capacity building for young people, activists and peer educators, in the frame of the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programs of the European Commission and has established strategic cooperation with more than 30 youth-led organizations from Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.<\/p>

The team of the Foundation has experience in working in digital spaces and through online platforms and apps. In 2017, with the support of UNFPA, we created an online platform for youth advocates and activists (https:\/\/speakactchange.org) and since then we have been managing and updating it.
